Arcis Digital Security Offers On-Demand, Variable, Digital, Security Technologies

(PRWEB) February 27, 2007 -- The Arcis family of Digital, On-Demand, Variable, Security Technologies (2003) includes the Digital Void Pantograph ™, for lasers and inkjets from 300 dpi or higher and the HALO family of Covert Security features, including our Illumine Halo™ the first covert security feature that utilizes both a special decoder and special lighting in the authentication process based in our Halo (2002)™ covert technologies.



First released in 2003, our Digital Void Pantograph™ can be printed with both toner and ink-based digital printers from a resolution of 300 dpi and higher. This technology is integrated into a document and printed in one pass, and it's designed to protect the printed document (packaging, coupons etc.) against unauthorized duplication on photocopiers and scanners.

Since its first release, we've deployed our Digital Void Pantograph™ on digital presses, including the HP Indigo, Kodak Nexpress and Kodak Versamark, and the Xerox IGen. Commercial and security printers with these digital presses are now marketing products with our digital void pantograph. The applications are endless such as short run checks and business forms, manuals, transcripts, coupons, quick copy jobs just to name a few.

What is truly remarkable is that this Digital Void Pantograph™ technology can be integrated into a low cost laser or inkjet desktop printers and high speed laser and inkjet printers, in black & white or a rainbow of colors.

Also released in 2003, was our Digital Covert Security™ Features printed on any toner or inkjet digital platform including digital presses, lasers and Inkjets printers from resolution of 600 dpi or higher. This technology was first featured in the Oceanside currency, the worlds first digitally printed bill with a variable covert authenticable security feature printed on the HP Indigo press. The security feature is revealed using a decoder.

Our covert features have also been printed and applied in garment labels and iron on transfer labels.

In the same year, 2003, the Illumine Halo™ the first covert security feature that utilizes both a decoder and special lighting in the authentication process was introduced. It is a highly effective security feature, when the covert security feature is printed using available specialty inks such as (but not limited to) ultra-violet inks, infra-red inks, pearlescent inks and transparent inks on an ink based digital platform such as the HP Indigo presses as well as inkjet printers. The hidden illumine Halo™ security images can only be revealed by a decoder under lighting with the corresponding nanometers range as the specialty ink used in the printing. The most popular way to print this patent pending technology is with UV inks, and uses a black light and a decoder to verify the feature.
